HR Lead Growing BFSI Org

Location: Mumbai

Reporting To: CEO

Role Objective:

The HR Lead will be responsible for building and managing the HR function for a fast-growing amc business. The role will have a strong focus on talent acquisition, organization building, HR operations, culture, leadership hiring, performance management and HR governance. The ideal candidate should have experience across financial services, asset management, banking, NBFC, fintech or capital markets, with the ability to operate effectively in a high-growth, entrepreneurial environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Talent Acquisition & Leadership Hiring:

- Lead hiring across key business and corporate functions including Investments, Compliance, Risk, Operations, Sales & Distribution, Technology and Investor Services.

- Partner with senior leadership and external search firms to attract high-quality talent.

- Build and manage a strong talent pipeline across the financial services ecosystem.

Organization Building:

- Design organization structures, reporting frameworks and workforce plans.

- Support the development of a high-performance, ownership-driven culture.

- Establish effective onboarding and employee integration processes.

HR Operations & Policies:

- Develop and implement HR policies, employee handbooks and governance frameworks.

- Oversee payroll coordination, leave management, attendance, HR documentation and employee records.

- Ensure adherence to applicable employment laws and regulatory requirements.

Performance Management & Compensation:

- Design and manage performance appraisal and goal-setting frameworks.

- Drive compensation benchmarking and incentive structures.

- Develop employee retention initiatives.

- Support succession planning and talent development.

Employee Engagement & Culture:

- Drive employee engagement initiatives and internal communication.

- Foster a professional, ethical and collaborative work environment.

- Manage employee concerns and conflict resolution effectively.

Leadership & Strategic HR:

- Partner with the senior leadership team on the people strategy.

- Support leadership hiring, organizational scaling and capability building.

- Build scalable HR systems and processes to support the organization's growth.

Key Requirements:

Experience:

- 5-8 years of HR experience within Mutual Funds / Asset Management, Financial Services, Banking, NBFC, Capital Markets or Fintech.

- Experience in leadership hiring and organization building preferred.

- Prior experience in a high-growth or entrepreneurial environment would be an advantage.

Educational Qualifications:

- MBA / PGDM in Human Resources preferred.

- Strong understanding of HR operations, talent management and organizational development frameworks.
