- We are seeking a seasoned Finance leader to head a multi tower Finance Shared Services organization supporting a large, complex Insurance portfolio across US and International markets.
- The role provides end to end ownership of service delivery, controllership, statutory and regulatory reporting, close acceleration, transformation (RPA/automation), transitions, governance, and client engagement.
- The roles is required to drive KPI/SLA achievement, ensure process control integrity, and partner with global controllership and business stakeholders to deliver high quality, compliant, and efficient outcomes.
Key Responsibilities:
Service Delivery & Controllership:
- Own end to end delivery across Record to Report (R2R), Financial & Regulatory Reporting, GL close, Investment Accounting/Reporting, Revenue Accounting, and Management Reporting.
- Ensure timely and accurate US GAAP, NAIC STAT, IFRS, local statutory, tax and regulatory submissions across US and international entities.
- Oversee balance sheet reconciliations; drive root cause analysis and clearance of aged/open items; ensure robust process controls (client & internal).
Operating Model & Governance:
- Build, Scale & Manage shared services operating model: talent acquisition, capability building, KPI framework, process health, and efficiency programs.
- Lead governance cadence: monthly stakeholder reviews, quarterly steering committees, and comprehensive risk/compliance reporting.
- Create structured retention, succession planning, IDPs, and document critical processes with counterpart sign offs.
What are we looking for?
Transformation & Productivity:
- Lead Close acceleration, Rapid Process Automation, RPA/Robotic Automation, standard close calendar implementation, MJE coding standards, and cross tower process standardization.
- Deliver measurable productivity/yield and drive continuous improvement across all towers (AP/GA/FA/R2R/Reporting)
Transitions & Migrations:
- Partner with Transition Leads for seamless handovers & transitions, own strategic assessment, due diligence, solution identification, knowledge transfer, pilot, and stabilization.
- Manage new business RFIs/RFPs, onsite/offshore migrations across US/Europe; set up accounts and align service scope/SLAs.
Required Qualifications & Experience:
- 22+ years total experience with 15+ years in Finance & Accounting within BFSI (Insurance)
- Deep domain in Controllership, R2R, GAAP/STAT/IFRS/Tax/Regulatory reporting, investment accounting, and management reporting.
- Strong governance and KPI discipline; robust risk/compliance orientation.
Education & Certifications:
- Bachelor's OR Master's in Commerce.
- Relevant Business Certification.
- Tools & Technology - Advanced MS Excel/Word/PowerPoint; working knowledge of AS400, SAP, Oracle Applications;
Roles and Responsibilities:
Stakeholder & Client Management:
- Serve as Engagement Head/Site Lead; act as the point of escalation for service delivery.
- Build long term relationships with onshore partners; provide thought leadership, vision, and troubleshooting support.
- Partner with client leadership on growth initiatives; own engagement financials and participate in annual budgeting.
People Leadership:
- Manage, motivate, develop, and appraise teams through a structured leadership cascade; run pulse/skips, goal setting, and performance management.
