Role Overview
We are seeking a high-caliber Plant Head to take full ownership of our manufacturing facility in Gandhidham. The ideal candidate will be a strategic leader with a "hands-on" approach. You will oversee all functional areas including Production, Quality, Engineering, Supply Chain, HR/Admin, and Facility Management, ensuring the unit operates at peak efficiency while maintaining world-class safety and compliance standards.
Key responsibilities
Operational Excellence and Production
- Direct and coordinate daily operations of the manufacturing plant to ensure production targets are met with maximum efficiency and minimum waste.
- Oversee the maintenance of machinery and infrastructure to minimize downtime.
- Maintain a zero-tolerance policy toward quality deviations and ensure full batch traceability.
Leadership and People Management
- Provide visionary leadership to a diverse workforce; mentor department heads and develop a high-performance culture.
- Oversee Industrial Relations (IR) and ensure harmonious labor relations, navigating the local labor environment of the Gandhidham belt effectively.
Administration and Government Liaison
- Manage all administrative functions, including security, facility management, and local procurement.
- Act as the primary point of contact for Government Liaisoning (GIDC, Gujarat Pollution Control Board, Electricity Board, and local municipal authorities).
- Ensure 100% compliance with factory acts, labor laws, and environmental safety regulations.
Required Qualifications and Skills
Education: B.E./B.Tech in Mechanical, Production, or relevant engineering field. An MBA in Operations is highly preferred.
Experience: Proven track record as a Plant Head or Operations Head in a high-compliance manufacturing sector (Medical Devices, Pharma, or Precision Engineering).
Leadership: Strong emotional intelligence with the ability to manage employees.
Language: Fluency in English, Hindi, and Gujarati is essential for effective local administration and liaisoning.
Decision Making: Ability to make data-driven decisions under pressure, especially regarding supply chain disruptions or technical breakdowns.
