Land Acquisition Role

About the job:

Key Responsibilities:

- Identify and acquire suitable land parcels for renewable energy projects (solar/wind) across Maharashtra, considering technical feasibility, connectivity, and regulatory clearances.

- Lead and manage the end-to-end land acquisition process including scouting, negotiation, documentation, registration, and handover.

- Build and manage relationships with local landowners, agents, revenue officials, district-level authorities, and government departments.

- Conduct title due diligence and ensure legal sanctity of land through coordination with legal teams.

- Oversee RoW (Right of Way) acquisition, mutation, land conversion, and compliance with state-specific renewable energy policies.

- Ensure clear documentation, including agreements to sale, lease deeds, power of attorney, and land maps.

- Keep track of local land price trends, zoning regulations, and state incentives to ensure cost-effective deals.

- Supervise a field team of land officers, surveyors, and external consultants.

- Handle conflict resolution and address any legal or community-related land acquisition issues.

- Regularly update management on project progress, risk factors, and mitigation plans
