Would you like to be a part of the adventure?

We have a suitable opportunity in the legal function for the position of Senior Manager-Legal within the Corporate Division, will serve as a key partner, collaborating extensively with Legal & Compliance colleagues in Mumbai, Singapore, and Paris. This role also involves close partnership with various functions, including Manufacturing, Supply Chain, Business Divisions, Finance, HR, and Commercial. You will proactively advise business teams to ensure compliance with local laws and Group norms. The ideal candidate should have a minimum of 812 years of relevant experience within a law firm or in-house legal department, preferably within the FMCG or Pharmaceutical industries. This position is based in Mumbai and reports to the General Counsel.

Key Responsibilities:

- Lead Manufacturing, Supply Chain, Business Divisions, Finance, HR, Commercial Operations, Plant and Corporate colleagues through the full contract management lifecycle. This includes understanding the contract owners needs, precise drafting, rigorous negotiation, and closing commercial agreements to ensure business continuity and legal protection as per Group / local norms.

- Regional & Operational Legal Support Serve as the dedicated Single Point of Contact (SPOC) for plants, warehouses, and regional offices. Provide immediate legal guidance and resolve compliance-related queries to support localized operational efficiency.

- Contribute to the creation and protection of L'Oreal India's assets by advising and guiding internal clients in all areas of the law.

- Take a lead role in the practical implementation of privacy frameworks and ensure the organization remains fully compliant with local and international data protection laws.

- Develop and execute legal strategies for litigations arising within any assigned functional areas.

- Drive compliance by delivering effective communication and training sessions to key stakeholders. Ensure the business is informed about new legislation, providing clear action items to maintain statutory compliance. Manage the digital compliance tracking tools. This involves proactive follow-ups with stakeholders, ensuring the system reflects the latest legislative changes, and providing regular status reports.

- Take full ownership of assigned legal matters, working with a high degree of independence.

- Listens actively and decodes facts/situations to qualify the right diagnosis

- Imagines alternative options/solutions to match business needs

- Clarifies and simplifies concepts to match the point and advise efficiently to facilitate action and decision making

PUTS LEGAL EXPERTISE TO THE SERVICE OF BUSINESS PERFORMANCE:

- Takes the initiative to share knowledge with colleagues

- Treats information as an asset to ensure the creation, conservation and transmission of the L'Oreal know how on legal matters.

- Legal colleagues in other countries, or at the Zone or the Group

Travel: Travel will be need based

Education:

- A degree in Law from a recognized University

- Qualified to practice as CS would be an added advantage.

- Experience managing or analyzing personal data privacy would be an added advantage
