Key Responsibilities:

- Work as an integral part of the IP litigation team, handling complex and high-stakes IP disputes before various courts and tribunals, with a primary focus on the Bombay High Court.

- Draft and review pleadings, written statements, rejoinders, legal notices, and other litigation documents pertaining to trademark, copyright, and related IP disputes.

- Conduct in-depth legal research on relevant case laws, statutes, and emerging issues in IP litigation.

- Appear before courts, tribunals, and other forums, and assist in the conduct of hearings and trials.

- Brief and coordinate with senior counsels, prepare case strategies, and ensure effective case management.

- Manage client communications, provide strategic legal advice, and maintain high standards of client servicing.

- Supervise and mentor junior associates, ensuring quality work output and adherence to timelines.

- Liaise and collaborate with colleagues across branch offices for multi-jurisdictional matters.

- Travel across India for hearings, client meetings, and case management, as required.

- Stay abreast of recent legal developments, judgments, and legislative changes in IP law.

Candidate Profile / Requirements:

- Education: LLB from a reputed law school with strong academic credentials.

- Experience: Minimum 7+ years of post-qualification experience in IP litigation, preferably with a leading law firm in Mumbai.

- Proven experience handling trademark infringement, passing off, and copyright infringement matters before the Bombay High Court and other courts.

- Excellent legal drafting, analytical, and research skills.

- Strong ability to manage multiple cases and priorities in a fast-paced environment.

- Proficiency in English, Hindi, and Marathi (spoken and written).

- Demonstrated ability to lead teams, mentor juniors, and collaborate effectively with peers and partners.

- Must be enrolled with the Bar Council of India and eligible to practice law in India.

- High level of professionalism, integrity, and client service orientation.
