Position Overview:
We are seeking a highly experienced and dynamic Head of Manufacturing to oversee and lead our production operations. The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing and executing the manufacturing strategy, driving operational excellence, and managing large-scale teams to deliver world-class quality, effciency, and productivity. This role is critical in ensuring sustainable growth, innovation, and alignment with business goals.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement a comprehensive manufacturing strategy aligned with organizational objectives.
- Oversee end-to-end production processes, ensuring high-quality output and operational efficiency.
- Lead, mentor, and develop large, diverse teams of 300+ production staff, fostering a culture of collaboration, safety, and excellence.
- Monitor and manage production schedules, budgets, KPIs, and resources to ensure optimal performance.
- Drive lean manufacturing initiatives, continuous improvement programs, and process optimization.
- Ensure strict adherence to product quality standards, regulatory compliance, and workplace safety guidelines.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders such as R&D, procurement, supply chain, and quality to ensure seamless operations.
- Manage capacity planning, inventory control, and workflow optimization to meet customer and market demands.
- Analyze performance data and generate actionable insights to support decision-making and strategic growth.
- Champion a workplace culture that emphasizes innovation, accountability, safety, and employee engagement.
Essential Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Production Management, or a related eld. A Master's degree is preferred.
- Minimum 10-15 years of progressive experience in manufacturing/production, with at least 5 years in senior leadership roles.
- Proven track record of managing large-scale teams (500+ employees) in high-volume manufacturing environments.
- Strong expertise in production planning, shop management, people leadership, and budget control.
- Proficiency in quality management systems, safety protocols, and compliance standards.
- Hands-on experience in lean manufacturing, process improvement, and use of manufacturing tools/software.
- Excellent organizational, analytical, interpersonal, and communication skills.
Preferred Experience
- Prior experience in the wood sector or similar industries will be an advantage.
- Familiarity with ERP/MES systems, automation, and modern manufacturing technologies.
- Exposure to scaling manufacturing operations across multiple units or geographies.
