KPMG - Urban Planner - Industrial Development Projects

Role Purpose

The Urban Planner will be responsible for planning, designing, and coordinating industrial development projects including industrial parks, corridors, and logistics hubs, ensuring compliance with planning regulations and sustainable development principles.

Location - KANPUR

Key Responsibilities

- Prepare master plans and detailed planning proposals for industrial estates, industrial corridors, and logistics hubs.

- Undertake land use planning, zoning plans, and development control frameworks for industrial areas.

- Ensure compliance with industrial bye- laws, planning standards, and applicable state and national guidelines.

- Integrate sustainable and resilient planning principles in industrial infrastructure projects.

- Coordinate with Government departments, State Industrial Development Authorities, and other stakeholders.

- Support project feasibility studies, planning approvals, and statutory clearances.

- Provide planning inputs for infrastructure such as roads, utilities, logistics facilities, and common industrial assets.

Qualifications & Experience:

- Master's Degree in Urban Planning / Town & Country Planning from a recognized institution.

Minimum 5+ years of proven experience in:

- Industrial infrastructure planning (industrial parks, corridors, industrial assets).

- Preparation of master plans for industrial estates and logistics hubs.

- Strong working knowledge of industrial bye- laws, zoning regulations, and planning guidelines.

- Experience in sustainable industrial area planning.

- Experience working with Government or State Industrial Development Authorities will be preferred.
