Associate - Corporate and M&A (min. 2 years experience)

About the Role:

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Associate to join our Corporate & M&A practice. The ideal candidate will have at least 2 years of post-qualification experience, preferably in a law firm environment, with strong exposure to contract drafting, corporate advisory, and transaction support. This role offers the opportunity to work on a wide range of domestic and cross-border transactions, commercial contracts, and general corporate advisory matters under the supervision of senior team members.

Key Responsibilities:

- Draft, review, and negotiate a variety of commercial contracts, including NDAs, service agreements, vendor agreements, shareholder agreements, and business transfer agreements.

- Support the team in due diligence exercises, corporate structuring, and transaction documentation for mergers, acquisitions, and investments.

- Conduct legal research on corporate, regulatory, and commercial matters.

- Coordinate with clients, external advisors, and internal teams to ensure smooth transaction execution.

- Maintain organized documentation and contribute to internal knowledge management initiatives.

Requirements:

- LLB degree from a reputed law school.

- Minimum 2 years of post-qualification experience, preferably in a law firm.

- Strong command over contract drafting and review.

- Sound understanding of Companies Act, FEMA, SEBI regulations, and general corporate law principles.

- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

- Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
