Job Title: Head - Industrial Relations

Work Location/s: Karur

Job Purpose :

- To deal with entire gamut of Industrial Relations Portfolio viz., Negotiation with Employees Union & Officers Association, Disciplinary Proceedings, Dealing with Panel Advocates, Labour Law Matters, Conciliation proceedings, Statutory Returns filing.

- To deal with PF and Gratuity matters and represent the bank in various labour forums and staff accountability matters in banking.

Major Roles & Responsibilities:

- Deal with matters relating to Bipartite Settlements/Award/Officers Regulations in Bank and effectively manage IR situation.

- To negotiate and finalise settlements with Award Staff Unions and Officers, Associations.

- Management of IR with constant communication and engagement with work force at all levels, resolution of grievances and building up a harmonious working relationship.

- Guide and supervise DP Cell to conduct Departmental Proceedings and impose punishments.

- To advise on the Legal matters at the Courts/Tribunals.

- Representing Bank before various Authorities like RLC, ALC for conciliations, Industrial Tribunals, Labour Court etc.,

- Representing Bank in various Forums like IBA etc., in the matters relating to HR & IR.

- Follow-up of Court cases and Co-ordinating with Panel Advocate for speedy disposal of cases.

- Follow-up and filing of all statutory returns and liasioning with Government Labour Authorities.

- Management and oversight of PF, Pension, Gratuity Funds of the Bank.

- Vetting of Agreements and preparation of draft policies.

- Any other HR related assignments that Management entrusts from time to time.

Job Specification:

Qualification:

Type (Graduate/post Graduate): Any bachelor's or master's degree in law

Additional Certifications (if any): PG Diploma in Personal Management and Industrial Relations.

Years of Experience: 15 - 18 years of exp. From Commercial Banks or Large Corporates as Head IR.
