Securities Services Product Development - Custody Settlements Associate Short Description: Join the team that is transforming the Securities Services Industry through the innovative use of Technology Posting Description: - This role is responsible for leading the development of core product enhancements and targeted tactical solutions to meet the extensive needs of the clients and prospects for the Global Custody and Clearing business. Our aim is to position J.P. Morgan as 'best in class' with clients and prospects. The Product Development Team also maintains and expands subject matter expertise, providing thought leadership in the Global Custody product space. - The Product Development Team is organized along functional lines broken down into 4 key product "towers" and is distributed globally (Asset Servicing, Positions & Settlements, Cash, Direct Custody) Job Responsibilities: - This position, within the Product Development team, is aligned to Custody Positions and Settlements with focus on advancing our strategic platform agenda in order to help close product gaps and rapidly adapt to business and regulatory change. - The successful candidate will primarily focus on designing and building a strategic positions and settlements platform, leveraging existing strategic platforms that are being built out, while also coordinating across the wider Security Services organization to encourage swift adoption of the platforms and any required changes to operating models. Participate in complex change programs in Fund services - those with significant scale, complexity & budget - Partner with our Product partners in Securities Services and senior members of Product Development to design and deliver key elements of the strategic P&S platform and interact with internal stakeholders to gather requirements and deliver a strategic P&S product offering. - Partner with Operations to identify and remediate existing manual workflows - Work with the technology team in the development of the strategic P&S infrastructure - Coordinate the user testing and rollout of new P&S products, managing feedback and implementing additional enhancements based on priorities - Manage effective working group meetings across Product, Operations and Technology to deliver on key services and tools - Partner with Sales & Marketing/Client Service to develop, brand and communicate new products to our external clients - Participate in and contribute to the broader Securities Services Custody Product Development teamwide forums and Identify opportunities for improvement, presenting them to senior management and helping to affect change Required Qualifications, capabilities, and skills: - The candidate preferably has direct securities services or P&S experience or worked in a security, investment management and / or global custody environment. Previous project management or management reporting experience would be an advantage. They will be able to: - Steer and measure business results through strategy development, business planning, general knowledge and skills - Steer results through people, communication, influence management and interactions - Ensure market-drive direction by performing market research and competitive intelligence - Guide product enhancements through requirement development, product testing and release management; deliver on-time and under-budget - Ability to multi-task and manage multiple streams of work concurrently - Ability to work with large volumes of data and convert into a reportable format Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills: - Personally, accountable for achieving key milestones on a roadmap - Initiative: be able to move initiatives forward in a cross-functional and matrixed organizational model - Facilitate design workshops and brainstorming sessions.
