The role:
As a Global Procurement Business Partner, you will help drive our goals by:
- Developing and executing procurement strategies to deliver significant value.
- Leading and mentoring a team of procurement business partners dedicated to each strategic business unit (SBU).
- Ensuring all procurement activities including category strategies, sourcing, and supplier management are fit for purpose, minimize risk, and align with company standards.
- Develop communication around applicable procurement projects, policies and strategies; support regional and global implementation of savings plans and supplier management practices as per procurement strategies, including steering spend proactively to CT preferred or approved vendors
- Represent SBU requirements with procurement category management teams and contribute to global solution for best application and value delivered regionally / globally to assigned SBU
- Proactive understanding, shaping and influencing the regional and global demand for procurement, leading to spending efficiency and categories effectiveness at SBU level
Key skills that will help you succeed in this role:
- Graduate qualification (ideally masters degree educated), (and/or) proven 10+ years of experience preferably in Automotive, FMCG and/or Chemical procurement of at least 8 years Excellent functional Procurement experience managing direct and indirect categories across a multiple geographies.
- Knowledge and experience of best practice category management, sourcing, contract management and supplier performance management practices.
- Experience leading, motivating and developing people especially through difficult period/large change. Excellent talent management skills
- Ability to facilitate multiple activities at any one time, prioritise workload and effectively communicate current positions. Structured yet flexible.
- Comfortable with/able to thrive in conditions of change and complexity.
- Experienced contributor to building policies / standards, leading change management and reinforcing compliance
