Key Responsibilities:

- Lead end-to-end design and engineering for EHV/UHV transmission line projects.

- Manage engineering activities from tender-stage engineering and route development through detailed design and construction support.

- Lead tower spotting, sag-tension calculations, tower structural design, and foundation design.

- Ensure compliance with applicable technical standards, statutory requirements, safety norms, and project specifications.

- Review and approve engineering calculations, drawings, design reports, BOQs, and MTOs.

- Manage EHV electrical clearances, conductor selection, OPGW engineering, and line configuration.

- Coordinate with clients, consultants, manufacturing teams, construction teams, and other internal stakeholders for timely engineering deliverables and approvals.

- Provide engineering support during tower fabrication, material procurement, manufacturing, erection, and construction.

- Optimize designs for cost, material consumption, constructability, reliability, and project timelines.

- Lead technical discussions with clients and resolve design-related issues and deviations.

- Establish engineering standards, processes, quality checks, and review mechanisms.

- Mentor and develop the transmission line design and engineering team.

- Identify technical risks and implement appropriate mitigation measures throughout the project lifecycle.

Candidate Profile:

- 15-20 years of overall experience in transmission line design and engineering.

- 12-15+ years of relevant experience in EHV/UHV transmission line projects.

- Proven experience leading transmission line engineering teams and managing end-to-end design functions.

- Strong hands-on expertise in PLS-CADD, PLS-TOWER/STAAD.Pro, and transmission line design tools.

- Experience across the complete project lifecycle, including tender engineering, route development, detailed design, client approval, manufacturing support, and construction engineering.

- Strong understanding of transmission line structures, foundations, electrical clearances, conductors, OPGW, and associated engineering requirements.

- Excellent technical problem-solving, stakeholder management, and leadership skills.

- Ability to manage multiple projects and engineering deliverables within tight timelines.

Education:

- Bachelor's degree in Civil / Structural / Electrical Engineering or a related discipline.

- A relevant postgraduate qualification will be an advantage.
