Job Summary:
The Account Manager will be responsible for driving revenue growth, managing key customer relationships, and expanding market presence for Ingersoll Rands Air Compressors and Industrial Solutions in the Ahmedabad region. This role requires a blend of technical understanding, strategic account handling, and strong business development skills.
The ideal candidate will manage existing customers, develop new accounts, and work closely with channel partners to ensure customer satisfaction and long-term retention.
Key Responsibilities:
Account Management & Business Growth:
- Manage and grow strategic customer accounts across industrial sectors.
- Identify and develop new business opportunities in the region.
- Achieve sales targets for compressors, aftermarket services, and industrial solutions.
- Prepare and execute territory-wise sales plans and forecasts.
Customer Relationship Management:
- Build strong, long-term relationships with decision-makers, influencers, and procurement heads.
- Conduct customer visits, understand requirements, and deliver value-based solutions.
- Ensure high customer satisfaction through proactive engagement.
Technical & Commercial Expertise:
- Demonstrate strong product knowledge of air compressors, compressed air systems, and industrial equipment.
- Provide technical guidance and support during pre-sales discussions.
- Collaborate with service teams to resolve post-sales technical issues.
Channel Partner & Internal Coordination:
- Coordinate with channel partners to ensure adequate coverage, market penetration, and order fulfillment.
- Work closely with internal teamsservice, engineering, finance, logisticsto ensure seamless execution.
- Track competition activities and market intelligence to support strategic planning.
Sales Process Management:
- Prepare proposals, quotations, and techno-commercial offers.
- Drive negotiations, close deals, and ensure timely collections.
- Maintain CRM updates, sales reports, and customer data accuracy.
Qualifications & Requirements:
Education:
MBA in Marketing/Sales with Degree in Technical domain will be an added advantage
Experience:
- 8-10 years of experience in B2B industrial sales.
- Prior experience in selling air compressors, rotating equipment, industrial machinery, or capital equipment preferred.
- Proven success in account management and territory sales.
Skills & Competencies:
- Strong technical acumen regarding industrial equipment and compressed air systems.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
- Ability to manage multiple accounts and meet revenue targets.
- Strong customer orientation and problem-solving mindset.
- Proficiency in CRM tools and MS Office Suite.
Travel Requirements:
Willingness to travel within the assigned territory (as required).
