Job Description:
Indus International is seeking a detail-oriented, process-driven Warehouse Manager to take full ownership of our warehouse operations in Sharjah. This role is central to our ability to deliver on time and to specification - the Warehouse Manager will be responsible for the accurate management of all inventory categories including raw materials, semi-finished goods, finished goods, and maintenance spares.
This is a hands-on leadership role that requires strong organisational discipline, system proficiency, and the ability to work cross-functionally with procurement, production, supply chain, and quality teams. The ideal candidate will bring structure, rigour, and a culture of accountability to our warehousing function.
Key Responsibilities:
Inventory Management:
- Maintain accurate records and physical control of all inventory categories:
- Raw materials (aluminium, copper, steel, and other inputs)
- Semi-finished goods (components in-process or awaiting further production)
- Finished goods (ready-to-ship heat exchanger units)
- Maintenance, repair, and operations (MRO) spares
- Conduct and coordinate regular cycle counts, periodic stock audits, and annual physical inventory reconciliations.
- Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies between physical counts and system records in a timely manner.
- Ensure FIFO (First In, First Out) and other appropriate stock rotation principles are rigorously applied.
- Monitor stock levels and flag reorder points to the procurement and planning teams proactively.
Warehouse Operations & Layout:
- Oversee day-to-day warehouse operations including receiving, storage, picking, packing, and dispatch.
- Ensure proper segregation, labelling, and organisation of all inventory zones to facilitate easy identification and retrieval.
- Manage inbound and outbound material flows in coordination with logistics and production teams.
- Maintain a clean, organised, and safe warehouse environment compliant with 5S and HSE standards.
- Supervise warehouse staff, assign duties, and manage shift scheduling to ensure adequate coverage.
Systems, Documentation & Reporting:
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records in the companys ERP/inventory management system for all goods receipts, transfers, and dispatches.
- Generate and review regular inventory reports including stock ageing, slow-moving items, variance reports, and inventory turnover metrics.
- Ensure all documentation (GRNs, delivery notes, transfer orders, material issue slips) is completed accurately and archived properly.
- Liaise with finance and procurement teams for monthly inventory reconciliation and valuation.
Cross-Functional Coordination:
- Work closely with the production planning team to ensure timely issuance of raw materials and semi-finished goods to the shop floor.
- Coordinate with procurement on PO receiving, inspection, and put-away of incoming materials.
- Collaborate with the quality team to manage non-conforming materials ensure quarantined items are clearly identified and handled per defined processes.
- Support the logistics team in staging and dispatching finished goods orders accurately and on time.
Continuous Improvement:
- Identify and drive improvements in warehouse layout, inventory accuracy, and operational workflows.
- Implement best practices in warehousing, including lean principles and waste reduction.
- Propose and support upgrades to systems, tooling, and processes that improve traceability and efficiency.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Bachelors or Masters degree or in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Industrial Engineering is preferred
- Minimum 3 - 5 years of hands-on experience in warehouse or inventory management, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
- Strong proficiency in ERP systems (experience with SAP, Oracle, or equivalent is preferred) and Microsoft Excel.
- Solid understanding of inventory management principles including MRP, FIFO, cycle counting, and stock reconciliation.
- Experience managing multiple inventory categories (raw materials, WIP, finished goods, MRO) simultaneously.
- Strong leadership and team management skills; able to motivate and develop a warehouse team.
- Meticulous attention to detail with a structured and process-oriented approach to work.
- Good communication skills - able to coordinate effectively across procurement, production, logistics, and finance teams.
- Knowledge of 5S, HSE standards, and warehouse safety practices.
