Position Details:

- Job Title: Logistics Assistant Manager Export & Import

- Department: Logistics

- Reporting To: Logistics Head / Supply Chain Head

- Location: Sharjah, UAE

Job Purpose:

To manage and coordinate end-to-end export and import logistics operations, ensuring timely shipments, statutory compliance, cost control, and seamless coordination with internal teams, freight forwarders, customs brokers, and government authorities.

Key Responsibilities:

- Handle complete export-Import documentation including Invoice, Packing List, BL/AWB, COO, BOE Insurance, LUT/Bond, Shipping Bill, customer/ supplier documents. etc.

- Coordinate with customs, freight forwarders, CHAs, transporters, and shipping lines for timely dispatch.

- Track export-Import shipments and ensure on-time delivery to customers.

- Known about compliance with DGFT, GST, Customs, and FEMA regulations.

- Manage export incentives such as RoDTEP, Duty Drawback, etc.

- Track inbound shipments and ensure timely receipt at plant/warehouse own or customer warehouse.

Logistics & Coordination:

- Own end-to-end EXIM logistics for raw materials, components, finished goods, spares, and capital goods.

- Manage production-linked import/export schedules to avoid line stoppages and customer delays.

- Handle time-critical shipments (air / express / courier) during production emergencies.

- Drive logistics cost optimization (route planning, mode selection, consolidation).

- Ensure zero-penalty, zero-demurrage, and zero-detention through proactive planning.

- Own vendor performance of CHAs, freight forwarders, transporters, and cold-chain partners (where applicable).

- Manage transit damage, shortages, insurance claims, and recoveries.

- Coordinate with Production Planning, QA, Regulatory, Purchase, Sales, and Finance teams.

- Ensure ERP/SAP accuracy, BOM-linked imports, batch tracking, and shipment MIS.

- Support import/export audits, regulatory inspections, and document traceability.

Industry-Specific Compliance Exposure:

- Automotive / Engineering: PPAP exports, urgent line-stop imports, tooling & machinery imports

- Pharma: Temperature-controlled shipments, GDP compliance, batch documentation

- Manufacturing (General): Capital goods, project cargo, spare parts & consumables

Key Skills & Competencies:

- Strong knowledge of Export Import procedures & documentation

- Understanding of Incoterms, HS Codes, Customs & GST

- Strong negotiation, coordination, and follow-up skills

- Analytical and problem-solving ability

- Proficiency in ERP/SAP and MS Excel

Qualifications:

- Bachelors degree in commerce / Logistics / Supply Chain / International Business / Engineering

- Diploma or certification in ExportImport Management (preferred)

Preferred Industry Experience:

Automotive | Engineering | Chemicals | FMCG | Heavy Manufacturing | Bearings | Tyre Industry

- Experience: 6 - 9 years in Export & Import logistics (lead role preferred)

- Strong ownership mindset with direct impact on production continuity, compliance, cost control, and customer delivery

Compensation & Benefits:

Annual In-Hand Salary:

- AED 72,000 96,000 ( INR 1824 Lakh) + Based on Performance Incentive: AED 18,000 54,000 (up to 25% of annual salary)

Final compensation will depend on current in-hand salary and interview performance.
