
Role Overview
The HR Business Partner (HRBP) will act as a strategic partner to business leaders within the financial services segment, aligning HR initiatives with business objectives. The incumbent must demonstrate commercial acumen, strong stakeholder management skills, and the ability to drive organizational effectiveness.
Key Responsibilities
1. Strategic Business Partnering
- Collaborate with business heads to understand strategic goals and translate them into HR action plans.
- Drive workforce planning and talent forecasting aligned to business growth.
- Provide advisory support on organizational structure, role clarity, and manpower optimization.
2. Talent Acquisition & Workforce Planning
- Partner with TA team for leadership and niche hiring in financial roles (credit, risk, treasury, collections, compliance, etc.).
- Ensure quality hiring within defined TAT and budget.
- Build succession pipelines for critical positions.
3. Employee Engagement & Culture
- Implement engagement initiatives and pulse surveys.
- Address employee concerns proactively.
- Drive retention strategies for key financial talent.
4. HR Operations & Compliance
- Ensure adherence to labor laws and regulatory compliance relevant to financial institutions.
- Support internal and external audits.
- Maintain documentation and HR governance standards.
Key Skills & Competencies:
- Strong understanding of financial services ecosystem (NBFC, ARC, Banking, AIF, etc.)
- Knowledge of labor laws and regulatory requirements
- Data-driven decision making
- Stakeholder management and influencing skills
- Strong business acumen
- Conflict resolution and employee relations management
- High level of confidentiality and integrity
Qualification:
- MBA / PGDM in Human Resources
- 6+ years of progressive HRBP experience, preferably in financial services
- Exposure to regulated environments is highly desirable
