Role Overview:
The HR Payroll Manager will oversee all aspects of payroll processing and HR operations for the organization's Mumbai operations. This role involves ensuring accurate and timely payroll delivery, managing HRIS systems, ensuring compliance with labor laws and taxation regulations, and collaborating with various internal teams, including finance, HR business partners, and department heads. The Payroll Manager will play a crucial role in maintaining employee satisfaction and ensuring smooth HR operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage end-to-end payroll processing for all employees in the Mumbai region, ensuring accuracy and adherence to deadlines.
- Oversee the maintenance and optimization of the HRIS system, ensuring data integrity and efficient reporting capabilities.
- Ensure compliance with all applicable labor laws and taxation regulations, including statutory deductions and filings.
- Develop and implement payroll policies and procedures to improve efficiency and accuracy.
- Collaborate with the finance team to reconcile payroll accounts and resolve discrepancies.
- Manage employee benefits administration, including enrollment, changes, and terminations.
- Prepare and submit accurate and timely payroll reports to management and regulatory agencies.
- Address employee inquiries and resolve payroll-related issues promptly and professionally.
- Conduct regular audits of payroll processes to identify and correct errors.
- Stay updated on changes in labor laws and taxation regulations and implement necessary changes to payroll processes.
Required Skillset:
- Demonstrated expertise in managing end-to-end payroll processing for a large employee base.
- Proven ability to manage and optimize HRIS systems (e.g., SAP HR, PeopleSoft, Workday).
- Comprehensive knowledge of Indian labor laws and taxation regulations.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with employees at all levels.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Finance, or a related field.
- 10-15 years of experience in HR and payroll management, preferably in the healthcare sector.
