Position Summary: As an HR Business Partner (HRBP), you will act as a trusted advisor to senior investment professionals and the leadership team, aligning human capital strategy with accelerated value creation. Unlike traditional HR, this role is a high-impact, strategic function focused on identifying, developing, and retaining elite talent, enhancing performance management and driving cultural alignment during acquisitions and transformations. You will serve as the connective tissue between HR strategy and investment performance. This strategic role partner with the CHRO to translate business objectives into actionable human capital strategies and driving organizational growth.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead talent acquisition initiatives, including identifying, attracting and hiring high-caliber talent from investment banking, venture capital and related sectors.
- Manage the end-to-end HR lifecycle, including hiring coordination, onboarding, induction, performance management and employee engagement.
- Drive talent development and training initiatives to strengthen leadership capabilities and professional growth across teams.
- Strengthen performance management frameworks to ensure alignment with business goals and value creation.
- Support organizational design, leadership development and succession planning across functions.
- Play a key role in cultural integration and talent strategy during acquisitions, transitions and organizational transformations.
- Partner with leadership to enhance employee engagement, retention and a high-performance culture.
- Use data-driven insights to inform talent decisions, excellent employee experience and improve organizational effectiveness.
- Act as the link between HR strategy and business performance, ensuring people initiatives directly support the firm's growth objectives.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Graduate / Postgraduate in Human Resources from a premier institution (IIMs/XLRI/TISS/SCMHRD).
- 3-8 years of progressive HR experience with at least 2-3 years in a strategic HRBP role within a fast-paced environment, preferably investment banking or another PE/VC firm.
- Exceptional stakeholder management, business acumen, high emotional intelligence and ability to influence without direct authority.
- Deep understanding of executive compensation, talent mapping and organizational design.
- Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to independently manage the HR function with limited supervision.
- High level of discretion, reliability and professional integrity.
