HouseEazy - Assistant Vice President/Vice President - Finance - CA

We are seeking a dynamic and strategic finance leader to join our core team as AVP/VP, Finance. An ideal candidate will be a seasoned Chartered Accountant with 8-10 years of experience, ideally in high-growth startups. This is a hands-on leadership role for someone who has built institutional-grade finance operations in a startup environment.

Core Responsibilities:

Financial Controllership & Governance:

- Build and enforce internal controls, SOPs, approval matrices, and governance frameworks

- Own end-to-end accounting, monthly/quarterly closes, and financial reporting

- Ensure accurate, audit-ready books with strong Ind AS compliance

- Lead statutory, tax, internal, and investor audits

- Ensure compliance across GST, TDS, FEMA, and company law

FP&A, Cash Flow & Discipline:

- Lead budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow planning

- Own working capital management, fund utilization, and runway tracking

- Drive cost optimization, KPI tracking, and unit economics visibility

- Partner with business leaders on financial decision-making

Fundraising & Capital Strategy:

- Lead equity fundraising (Series C and beyond) and structured debt initiatives

- Support investor due diligence with robust financial data and reconciliations

Systems, Scale & Leadership:

- Own ERP systems, finance automation, and reporting infrastructure

- Build and lead a high-performing finance and accounting team

- Act as a finance partner to founders and cross-functional leaders
