About the job:

Summary/Objective:

This position is responsible for performing HR-related duties on a professional level and works closely with House of Spices Inc., India senior management and staff in supporting designated geographic regions.

This position carries out responsibilities in the following functional areas of House of Spices Inc., India: recruitment/employment, onboarding, employee relations, training, performance management, benefits administration, policy implementation, affirmative action and employment law compliance.

Essential Functions:

- Administers various human resource plans and procedures for all organization personnel; assists in the development and implementation of personnel policies and procedures; prepares and maintains the employee handbook and the policies and procedures manual.

- Administers the compensation program; monitors the performance evaluation program and revises as necessary.

- Promote HR programs to create an efficient and conflict-free workplace

- Performs benefits administration, including claims resolution, change reporting, approving invoices for payment and communicating benefits information to employees.

- Handles employee relations counseling, outplacement counseling and exit interviewing.

- Maintains company organization charts and the employee directory.

- Recommends new approaches, policies and procedures to continually improve efficiency of the department and services performed.

- Maintains human resource information system records and compiles reports from the database.

- Maintains compliance with federal, state and local employment and benefits laws and regulations.

- Support Employee engagement activity.

Qualifications:

- Masters' degree in human resources or related field.

- SHRM Certified Professional (SHRM-SCP)/(SHRM-CP) credential

- 3 to 5 years of human resource experience.

- Outstanding knowledge of MS Office; HRIS systems (e.g. ADP) will be a plus

- Excellent communication and people skills

- Desire to work as a team with a results driven approach
