Key Accountabilities and Responsibilities
Strategic Sales & P&L Management:
- Provide strategic vision and tactical direction for all sales activities in Maharashtra to achieve aggressive revenue and profit targets.
- Evaluate, measure, and manage the end-to-end product/brand profit and loss (P&L) for the supervised area.
- Establish, control, and evaluate sales goals for the region, and ensure alignment between sales performance and product/area segmentation.
- Drive business growth, geographic expansion, and profitability in the assigned territory.
Team Leadership & Talent Management:
- Lead, direct, and motivate a direct on-roll sales team (minimum 5+ employees).
- Take full ownership of personnel decisions related to the sales team, including hiring, performance management, and disciplinary actions.
- Represent the organization externally, leading by example in promoting and selling products and services.
Market Penetration & Relationship Building:
- Build exceptional customer relationships with farmers and key stakeholders to ensure future sales and repeat business.
- Deeply assess customer needs and leverage nutritional knowledge to suggest appropriate products, services, and solutions to farmers.
- Possess and leverage excellent connects with dealers and farmers in Maharashtra.
- Demonstrate strong experience in handling distributor sales, specifically in rural areas.
Preferred Candidate Profile
Minimum Qualifications:
- MBA/Bachelors degree in any discipline.
- Minimum of 5+ years of related work experience.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience Span: 5-6 years or more in the Dairy, Cattle Feed, Animal Feed, FMCG, or OTC industry.
- Domain Expertise: At least 5 years of dedicated experience in Dairy/Cattle Feed/Animal Feed Sales.
- Leadership: Proven experience in managing a direct on-roll team of at least 5+ employees.
