Assistant General Manager - Human Resource (14-18 yrs)

Location : NCR, New Delhi

Department : Information Technology Services

Reports to : Director - IT / Head - Technology Infrastructure

Role Overview :

We are looking for a seasoned and operationally strong technology professional for the role of Assistant Director / Deputy Director Network & Infrastructure. The role will be responsible for managing and strengthening the Universitys IT infrastructure ecosystem including networks, servers, cloud environments, data management systems, enterprise authentication, and campus-wide technology operations.

The ideal candidate should come with deep expertise in enterprise infrastructure environments supporting 3000+ users across large campus setups and/or multi-location operations. The role requires a hands-on leader with strong stakeholder management capabilities, operational rigor, and the ability to drive infrastructure modernization initiatives while ensuring stability, security, scalability, and service excellence.

Key Responsibilities :

Network & Infrastructure Management :

- Lead end-to-end management of enterprise network infrastructure including LAN, WAN, Wi-Fi, internet connectivity, firewall, VPN, and network security architecture.

- Ensure high availability, uptime, redundancy, and performance optimization of IT infrastructure across campus and multiple locations.

- Manage server infrastructure including virtualization, storage systems, backup environments, and disaster recovery frameworks.

- Oversee Active Directory administration, identity and access management, group policies, and enterprise authentication systems.

Cloud & Data Management :

- Support and enhance hybrid cloud environments and cloud transformation initiatives.

- Manage enterprise data infrastructure, storage optimization, backup governance, and data lifecycle management.

- Drive infrastructure scalability and capacity planning aligned with institutional growth requirements.

- Ensure data integrity, security compliance, and business continuity processes.

Operations & Service Management :

- Lead infrastructure operations with strong focus on service delivery, incident management, problem management, and change management.

- Establish operational SOPs, monitoring frameworks, and preventive maintenance practices.

- Work closely with internal stakeholders to ensure smooth IT support for academic, administrative, and residential campus operations.

- Drive vendor management, AMC governance, infrastructure audits, and technology procurement support.

Project & Stakeholder Management :

- Participate in infrastructure expansion and digital transformation projects across the University.

- Collaborate with leadership, faculty, administration teams, and external partners to deliver reliable technology services.

- Build strong cross-functional relationships and ensure high stakeholder satisfaction.

- Mentor and guide infrastructure and network teams to build operational excellence.

Desired Candidate Profile :

Education :

- Bachelors degree in Engineering / Computer Science / Information Technology or related discipline.

- Masters degree preferred.

Experience :

- 10 - 15+ years of relevant experience in Network & Infrastructure management.

- Experience managing large enterprise environments with :

1. 3000+ users

2. Large integrated campuses

3. Multi-location operations

- Prior experience in higher education, large enterprises, IT services, healthcare, or technology-intensive environments will be preferred.

Certifications (Preferred) :

- ITIL Certification (preferred)

- PMP Certification (good to have)

- Relevant cloud/network certifications will be an advantage.
