The Route to Market (RTM) Manager plays a crucial strategic and operational role, ensuring that products reach all sales channels/ consumers in the most efficient, cost-effective & profitable way.
Responsibilities
- Designing channel strategies to optimizing delivery models
- Improve distributor ROI & field force productivity
- Enable tech-driven execution (SFA, DMS, analytics)
- Optimize cost-to-serve & logistics efficiency
- Drive numeric & weighted distribution
- Territory & Market Mapping
- Track channel KPIs (volume, distribution, numeric/weighted reach by using Use tools like DMS, SFA, and BI dashboards)
- Cross-functional Collaboration
- Support implementation of tech tools like SFA (Sales Force Automation), DMS etc.,
- Train distributor teams and field force on RTM execution and tools
- New Market/Channel Development
Key Skills & Competencies
- Strong analytical & strategic thinking
- FMCG distribution knowledge
- Tech-savvy (DMS, SFA, analytics tools)
- Communication & stakeholder management
- In-depth understanding of distribution models, rural-urban channel dynamics
- Working knowledge of the Southern market landscape
- Ability to balance strategic thinking with on-ground execution
- Ideally in the age group of 35-40 years
