Role Overview :
We are looking for a seasoned Total Rewards leader to drive the India compensation, benefits, and rewards strategy across multiple business units, including manufacturing operations. This role will play a critical part in aligning rewards with business goals, ensuring statutory compliance, and partnering closely with leadership and global stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities :
1. Total Rewards Strategy :
- Lead end-to-end India Total Rewards function including compensation, benefits, and incentive structures
- Design and implement reward strategies aligned to business objectives and market benchmarks
- Drive annual processes such as salary benchmarking, increments, bonuses, and long-term incentives
2. Compensation & Benefits :
- Manage and optimize compensation frameworks across corporate and manufacturing workforce
- Evaluate and enhance employee benefits programs to ensure competitiveness and cost efficiency
- Drive pay equity, internal parity, and governance frameworks
3. Statutory Compliance & Labor Laws :
- Ensure compliance with Indian labor laws, labor codes, and statutory regulations
- Handle complexities related to manufacturing setups, shop-floor workforce, and unionized environments
- Oversee audits, compliance reporting, and risk mitigation
4. Manufacturing & Union Environment :
- Work closely with plant HR teams on wage structures, settlements, and union negotiations
- Provide strategic inputs on workforce cost optimization and productivity-linked rewards
5. Stakeholder Management :
- Partner with India leadership and global Total Rewards teams
- Act as a trusted advisor on reward-related decisions and policies
- Drive communication and change management for reward programs
6. Governance & Analytics :
- Establish strong governance frameworks, policies, and controls
- Leverage data and analytics for decision-making and continuous improvement
Key Requirements :
Experience :
- 12-18 years of experience in Total Rewards / Compensation & Benefits
- Strong exposure to manufacturing organizations with unionized environments
- Proven experience handling statutory compliance, labor laws, and wage structures
Skills & Competencies :
- Deep expertise in compensation design, benefits evaluation, and rewards strategy
- Strong understanding of Indian labor laws and regulatory frameworks
- Excellent stakeholder management and influencing skills
- Strong communication and executive presence (critical for leadership interactions)
- Analytical mindset with attention to detail
Education :
- MBA / PGDM in HR or related field preferred
