Key Result Areas (Key Performance Indicators):

1. Government and Regulatory Affairs: Develop and maintain high-level relationships with state government officials to advocate for the company's interests, monitor and interpret policy developments, and ensure 100% compliance with local laws and regulations.

2. Stakeholder and Community Relations: Oversee local state affairs teams to foster positive relationships with community stakeholders, align corporate social responsibility initiatives with local needs, and proactively manage operational issues and community concerns.

3. Strategic and Internal Management: Develop a comprehensive state affairs strategy, provide regular updates to senior management, lead and mentor a team of state affairs professionals, and manage the budget efficiently.

Critical Tasks (Key Activities):

a. Develop and maintain high-level, credible relationships with State Chief Ministers, Ministers, Principal Secretaries, District Collectors, and key officials across Ministries to advocate for the company's interests.

b. Proactively monitor, interpret, and provide timely intelligence on state-level legislative and policy developments to inform the company's advocacy efforts.

c. Advocate for the company's business interests and policy positions to state governments and regulatory bodies to secure necessary approvals, licenses, and renewals critical for mining and steel manufacturing operations.

d. Ensure all six state locations maintain 100% compliance with local laws, regulations, permits, and statutory requirements, particularly those concerning mining, land, labor, and environment.

e. Oversee and guide the local State Affairs/Public Relations teams to foster strong, positive relationships with local political leaders, community influencers, NGOs, and traditional leaders.

f. Collaborate with the CSR department to ensure state-level corporate social responsibility initiatives are aligned with community needs, government priorities, and the company's Social License to Operate at each site.

g. Act as the senior point of contact for managing and mitigating local operational issues, protests, and community concerns that may impact production or reputation, ensuring a swift and structured resolution.

h. Develop a comprehensive State Affairs strategy and annual work plan for all six states, ensuring alignment with the overall Corporate Affairs and Group business strategy.
