Job Summary:

The Head of Rural Banking Sales is responsible for developing, implementing, and overseeing the sales strategy to expand banking products and services in rural areas. This role will lead a team dedicated to understanding rural customer's financial needs, building strong relationships with rural communities, and driving growth in deposits, loans, and other banking services in underserved regions. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of rural markets, extensive experience in banking sales, and a commitment to financial inclusion.

Key Responsibilities:

- Develop and execute a comprehensive sales strategy to achieve business targets for rural banking across multiple regions.

- Identify new business opportunities in rural areas and design tailored products and services to meet the unique needs of rural customers.

- Conduct regular market research to understand rural demographics, banking penetration, and customer needs.

- Establish and nurture partnerships with local stakeholders, cooperatives, and community organizations to extend the bank's outreach and presence.

- Monitor and analyze sales performance metrics, adjust strategies based on performance data, and ensure targets are consistently met or exceeded.

- Prepare and present regular reports to senior management, providing insights into regional performance, market trends, and growth opportunities.

- Develop customer relationship management strategies to foster long-term loyalty and satisfaction within rural markets.

- Implement feedback mechanisms to understand customer needs, resolve complaints, and improve service quality.

Qualifications:

- 12+ years of experience in banking sales, with at least 5 years in a leadership role focused on rural or community banking.

- Proven record of accomplishment of achieving sales targets and managing large, geographically diverse sales teams.

- In-depth knowledge of rural banking products & services and microfinance.

- Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and inspire teams.

- Willingness to travel extensively to rural locations as required.
