Key Responsibilities:
- Manage regulatory affairs and ensure compliance with applicable power sector regulations.
- Handle regulatory proceedings, litigation, petitions, and disputes with relevant authorities and forums.
- Manage end-to-end commercial contracts, including drafting, negotiation, execution, and compliance.
- Manage Power Purchase Agreements (PPAs) and Transmission Service Agreements (TSAs).
- Handle key account management and maintain strong relationships with customers, utilities, regulators, and other stakeholders.
- Monitor contractual obligations, commercial terms, claims, penalties, and payment conditions.
- Prepare and manage revenue budgets, forecasts, and commercial plans.
- Coordinate power scheduling, nominations, deviations, and related commercial activities.
- Monitor energy generation, power sales, availability, scheduling, and revenue realization.
- Analyze regulatory changes and assess their commercial impact on the business.
- Coordinate with legal, finance, operations, business development, and technical teams on commercial and regulatory matters.
- Support management in developing strategies for revenue optimization, contract compliance, and risk mitigation.
- Prepare commercial reports, regulatory submissions, MIS, and management presentations.
Required Skills & Experience:
- Strong experience in Power/Energy sector commercial operations.
- Hands-on experience in regulatory affairs and litigation management.
- Strong knowledge of PPA and TSA management.
- Experience in contract and key account management.
- Understanding of power scheduling and commercial settlement processes.
- Experience in revenue budgeting, forecasting, and financial/commercial analysis.
- Strong understanding of power sector regulations, contractual frameworks, and compliance requirements.
- Excellent negotiation, stakeholder management, analytical, and communication skills.
Preferred Candidate Profile:
- Candidates from the Power Generation, Transmission, Distribution, Renewable Energy, or Power Trading sector with strong exposure to regulatory, commercial, contracts, and PPA/TSA functions would be preferred.
- Experience dealing with regulatory commissions, utilities, DISCOMs, transmission companies, and other power-sector stakeholders will be an added advantage.
