
Job Description :
The Quality Head will be responsible for leading the organization's quality strategy, ensuring world-class quality systems, driving continuous improvement initiatives, maintaining customer satisfaction, and ensuring compliance with industry and regulatory standards.
The role requires strong leadership, technical expertise, and the ability to build a high-performance quality culture across the organization.
Key Responsibilities :
- Lead the implementation, maintenance, and continual improvement of Quality Management Systems.
- Ensure compliance with ISO 9001, IATF 16949, IMS, and customer-specific quality requirements.
- Drive digital transformation initiatives within the QMS framework.
Quality Management System (QMS) :
- Lead the implementation, maintenance, and continual improvement of Quality Management Systems.
- Ensure compliance with ISO 9001, IATF 16949, IMS, and customer-specific quality requirements.
- Drive digital transformation initiatives within the QMS framework.
Quality Assurance & Quality Control :
- Develop and implement quality standards, procedures, and inspection systems.
- Lead internal quality audits and process compliance reviews.
- Utilize quality tools including SPC, FMEA, MSA, Root Cause Analysis (RCA), CAPA, and Statistical Quality Control techniques.
- Exercise authority to stop production when quality risks or compliance issues are identified.
Supplier Quality Management :
- Lead supplier qualification, audits, evaluations, and development initiatives.
- Manage supplier PPAP approvals and ensure supplier compliance with quality requirements.
- Collaborate with suppliers to improve product quality and process capability.
Customer Quality :
- Serve as the primary interface for customer quality concerns.
- Lead the resolution of customer complaints, warranty claims, and field quality issues.
- Drive effective implementation and timely closure of 8D reports and CAPA actions.
New Product Development (NPD) & Change Management :
- Ensure APQP, PPAP, and risk assessments are completed before Start of Production (SOP).
- Support engineering and manufacturing teams during new product launches and engineering changes.
Compliance & Risk Management :
- Ensure adherence to statutory, regulatory, customer-specific, and internal quality requirements.
- Prepare and manage external certification and customer audits.
- Monitor quality risks and implement preventive actions.
Leadership & People Development :
- Build and strengthen the quality organization structure.
- Mentor, train, and develop quality teams to enhance technical capabilities.
- Drive succession planning and foster a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.
Performance Monitoring :
- Establish and monitor key quality KPIs, including :
i. Parts Per Million (PPM)
ii. First Pass Yield (FPY)
iii. Cost of Poor Quality (COPQ)
iv. Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs)
v. Warranty Performance
vi. Audit Compliance
- Ensure timely closure of corrective and preventive actions.
Required Skills & Competencies :
- Strong knowledge of ISO 9001, IATF 16949, IMS, and Quality Management Systems.
- Expertise in SPC, FMEA, MSA, APQP, PPAP, RCA, CAPA, and Six Sigma methodologies.
- Experience with ERP/SAP and digital quality systems.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, leadership, and stakeholder management skills.
- Strong communication and cross-functional collaboration abilities.
Preferred Qualifications :
- Master's or Bachelor's degree in any related field.
- ASQ Certified Quality Engineer (CQE), Certified Quality Manager (CQM), Six Sigma Green Belt/Black Belt, or equivalent certifications are preferred.
- Experience in the automotive, electromechanical, or electronic manufacturing industry is highly desirable
