Role Overview

The Head of Projects will be responsible for leading all capital and strategic initiatives within the manufacturing setup. This role demands strong leadership, technical expertise, and the ability to manage diverse stakeholders to ensure projects are executed on time, within budget, and in compliance with safety and quality standards. The position plays a critical role in driving business growth and operational excellence through plant expansion, modernization, and technology upgrades.

Key Responsibilities

Strategic Planning & Execution

- Develop and implement project strategies aligned with manufacturing objectives.

- Lead plant expansion, modernization, and technology upgrade projects.

Project Management

- Oversee the complete lifecycle of projects including feasibility, design, procurement, execution, and commissioning.

- Ensure strict adherence to timelines, budgets, and quality benchmarks.

Resource & Vendor Management

- Manage internal project teams and external contractors/vendors.

- Negotiate contracts and monitor vendor performance to ensure delivery standards.

Compliance & Safety

- Ensure compliance with statutory, environmental, and safety regulations.

- Implement best practices in project governance and risk management.

Financial Control

- Prepare, monitor, and control project budgets.

- Drive cost optimization and ensure return on investment (ROI).

Experience Requirements

- 18+ years of experience in project management within manufacturing.

- At least 5 years in a senior leadership role.

Educational Qualifications

- Bachelors degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Civil Engineering with an MBA preferred.

Experience

- Proven expertise in plant setup, expansion, and technology-driven projects.

- Knowledge of Lean, Six Sigma, and modern manufacturing practices.
