Head - Project Management - Heavy Engineering

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and dynamic leader to head our Project Management function for large-scale industrial and material handling projects. This is a strategic leadership role responsible for driving end-to-end project execution, ensuring delivery excellence, and building high-performing project teams.

Key Responsibilities:

- Lead and oversee execution of multiple turnkey projects across regions

- Drive project planning, scheduling, resource allocation, and budgeting

- Ensure projects are delivered on time, within scope, and within cost

- Establish and implement robust project management frameworks, tools, and governance

- Manage cross-functional coordination between engineering, manufacturing, procurement, and site teams

- Monitor project risks, identify mitigation strategies, and ensure proactive issue resolution

- Strengthen customer relationships through effective communication and project reviews

- Drive continuous improvement in execution efficiency, cost optimization, and quality standards

- Lead, mentor, and develop the project management team

Key Requirements:

- 15-20 years of experience in project management within heavy engineering

- Proven track record of handling large, complex industrial projects

- Strong leadership and stakeholder management skills

- Expertise in project planning tools (MS Project / Primavera, etc.)

- Strong commercial acumen with experience in contract management

- Excellent problem-solving, decision-making, and communication skills

Preferred Certifications:

- Lean Six Sigma Green Belt

- PMP - by Project Management Institute (Mandatory)

- APICS CPIM

- APICS CSCP

- ISO 9001 Lead Auditor
