Description: Head of Production

Location: Kolkata

Reporting To: CPO

Experience: 15 to 20 years

Qualification: Graduate / Postgraduate in Production / Industrial / Fashion Technology

Preferred: Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma Green Belt / Black Belt

Role Purpose :

Lead end-to-end accessories manufacturing operations, driving on-time delivery, quality excellence, cost optimisation, and scalable production systems through Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, Kaizen, and TPM frameworks.

Key Responsibilities :

Production & Planning :

- Own end-to-end production planning, scheduling, and execution across accessories categories.

- Drive capacity utilisation, line balancing, takt time optimisation, and OTIF performance.

Lean & Six Sigma Excellence :

- Lead Lean Manufacturing transformation and Kaizen culture.

- Apply Six Sigma (DMAIC) to reduce defects, variation, and lead time.

- Implement 5S, VSM, SMED, Kanban, Poka-Yoke, SPC, FMEA.

Factory & Vendor Management :

- Manage internal factories and outsourced vendors.

- Drive vendor capability building, performance improvement, and compliance.

Quality Management :

- Ensure RFT, rejection reduction, and strong QMS across raw, in-process, and finished goods.

- Ensure product safety, testing, and regulatory compliance.

Cost & Productivity :

- Own production costing, BOM accuracy, yield improvement, and wastage control.

- Improve OEE, labour productivity, and cost per unit.

NPD & Industrialisation :

- Partner with Design during NPD to ensure manufacturability and cost feasibility.

- Ensure smooth transition from sampling to bulk production.

Leadership & Governance :

- Lead and develop production, IE, and quality teams.

- Track KPIs, MIS dashboards, audits, and governance.
