Head - Plant HR - Manufacturing

Role Overview:

As the Head of Plant HR, you will serve as the strategic partner to the plant leadership team, overseeing the entire human resources lifecycle within a high-volume manufacturing environment. You will be responsible for fostering a productive, compliant, and harmonious work environment by managing complex industrial relations and labor law requirements. This role requires a hands-on leader who can navigate the nuances of shop-floor dynamics while aligning HR initiatives with broader business objectives to ensure operational continuity and employee engagement.

Key Responsibilities:

- Lead the end-to-end industrial relations strategy to maintain a stable and productive shop-floor environment, ensuring minimal disruption to manufacturing operations.

- Oversee strict compliance with all state and central labor laws, acting as the primary liaison with government authorities and labor departments to mitigate legal risks.

- Manage collective bargaining processes and long-term settlements with unions to foster transparent and constructive management-worker relationships.

- Drive plant-level talent acquisition, performance management, and training initiatives to build a high-performing workforce capable of meeting production targets.

- Implement robust health, safety, and welfare policies to ensure a secure working environment and improve overall employee morale.

- Provide strategic counsel to the Plant Head on organizational design, workforce planning, and change management to support business scaling and efficiency.

Required Skillset:

- Demonstrated expertise in managing complex Industrial Relations (IR) and navigating labor disputes within large-scale manufacturing facilities.

- Comprehensive knowledge of Indian labor laws, including the Factories Act, Industrial Disputes Act, and contract labor regulations.

- Proven ability to influence senior stakeholders and lead cross-functional teams in a high-pressure, on-site manufacturing environment.

- Strong conflict resolution and negotiation skills, with a track record of handling sensitive employee relations matters with discretion and firmness.

- Exceptional communication abilities, capable of engaging effectively with both blue-collar workers and executive leadership.

- A Master's degree in Human Resources or Industrial Relations from a reputed institute, complemented by 10-19 years of relevant experience in plant-based HR roles.

- High degree of adaptability to on-site work requirements across Alwar, Rudrapur, or Delhi/NCR locations.
