Job Summary:

We are looking for an experienced finance professional to lead Plant Finance, Manufacturing Finance, Costing, and Plant Accounting functions for large-scale manufacturing operations. The ideal candidate will drive financial planning, cost optimization, inventory controls, compliance, and operational efficiency while partnering closely with plant operations, supply chain, procurement, and leadership teams.

Key Responsibilities:

- Lead end-to-end Plant Finance and Manufacturing Finance operations across manufacturing units.

- Drive plant profitability through strong financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis.

- Manage product costing, standard costing, BOM analysis, and cost optimization initiatives.

- Ensure accurate plant accounting, inventory accounting, and manufacturing cost reporting.

- Monitor and control material cost, conversion cost, overheads, and operational expenses.

- Analyze manufacturing variances including labor, material, overhead, and production variances.

- Partner with plant leadership to improve operational efficiency and financial performance.

- Lead monthly plant MIS, financial reporting, and performance dashboards for management review.

- Ensure proper inventory valuation, stock reconciliation, cycle counts, and physical verification processes.

- Drive working capital optimization initiatives related to inventory and production.

- Strengthen internal controls, SOPs, compliance processes, and governance frameworks across plant finance operations.

- Support annual budgeting, long-range planning, and cost reduction programs.

- Collaborate with procurement, supply chain, production, and commercial teams for financial decision-making.

- Lead capex evaluation, investment analysis, and ROI tracking for manufacturing projects.

- Ensure compliance with accounting standards, statutory requirements, audits, and tax regulations.

- Coordinate with internal and external auditors for plant audits and financial reviews.

- Drive automation and digital transformation initiatives in finance and manufacturing reporting processes.

- Lead ERP-based finance processes and ensure accurate financial data management.

- Mentor and manage plant finance teams while driving a high-performance culture.

- Support strategic initiatives related to manufacturing expansion, operational excellence, and business growth.

Required Skills & Competencies:

- Strong expertise in Plant Finance, Manufacturing Finance, Costing, and Plant Accounting.

- Deep understanding of standard costing, product costing, inventory accounting, and variance analysis.

- Strong analytical, financial modeling, and business partnering skills.

- Experience in manufacturing operations, supply chain finance, and operational finance.

- Knowledge of budgeting, forecasting, MIS reporting, and financial controls.

- Strong understanding of ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle, or similar platforms.

- Excellent stakeholder management and cross-functional collaboration skills.

- Strong leadership, team management, and decision-making capabilities.

- Ability to drive cost optimization and operational efficiency initiatives.

- Strong communication and presentation skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

- CA / CMA / MBA Finance or equivalent qualification preferred.

- Experience in large manufacturing, automotive, industrial, FMCG, engineering, or process industries preferred.

- Exposure to multi-plant manufacturing environments will be an added advantage.

Preferred Candidate Profile:

- 14+ years of relevant experience in Plant Finance / Manufacturing Finance / Costing / Plant Accounting.

- Proven experience in handling plant-level P&L and financial operations.

- Strong exposure to manufacturing cost controls and operational finance.

- Ability to work in fast-paced and dynamic manufacturing environments.

- Strong business acumen with a strategic and operational mindset.
