Job Summary: We are seeking a seasoned professional to lead our Plant and Machinery (P&M) function. The ideal candidate will bring 1825 years of experience in managing construction equipment and plant operations, preferably from building or industrial construction projects. This leadership role involves developing systems, optimizing equipment performance, managing budgets, and contributing to strategic decisions for project success. Key Responsibilities: - Strategic Equipment Management: Implement comprehensive Construction Equipment Management strategies to maximize utilization, minimize lifecycle costs, and enhance resale value. - SOP & Process Development: Develop Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and workflow processes for P&M departments. Design strategies for revenue generation from external markets using idle or surplus equipment. - Equipment Selection & Deployment: Evaluate and select strategic equipment for various construction projects and ensure their timely deployment and readiness. - Technical Troubleshooting: Provide expert-level troubleshooting support for strategic equipment at project sites. - CAPEX & OPEX Oversight: Monitor and review capital expenditures and operational expenses related to plant and machinery, ensuring budgetary alignment and cost control. - Logistics Optimization: Plan and manage movement of equipment, optimize logistics, and ensure efficient utilization across multiple project locations. - SAP (P&M Module) Utilization: Lead SAP-based equipment management and resource allocation through full use of the SAP Plant and Machinery module functionalities. - Cost Analysis: Analyze operational and ownership costs of equipment and plants to forecast future budgets and support strategic decisions. - Warranty & Vendor Management: Ensure timely warranty claim processing. Build and manage a competent network of vendors for equipment procurement, servicing, and spare parts. - Team Development: Provide regular training to P&M personnel to upgrade their technical and operational skills. - Manpower Planning: Recruit and manage the P&M department's manpower to maintain effective departmental performance. Skills Preference: - Proven track record in managing P&M for large construction companies (preferably building/industrial projects). - Strong experience in CAPEX/OPEX management, SAP system usage, and vendor negotiations. - Strong leadership, communication, and analytical skills. - Prior experience in working with CPWD projects or government-affiliated construction works will be an advantage.
