Role Overview:
We are seeking an experienced and result-oriented Operations Head to lead large-scale opencast mining operations in Madhya Pradesh. The role will be responsible for end-to-end mine operations including production planning, overburden removal, coal extraction, equipment utilization, contractor management, safety compliance, and operational efficiency. The ideal candidate should possess strong leadership capabilities with extensive exposure to mining production environments and HEMM operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage overall mining operations to achieve production and dispatch targets.
- Drive daily, weekly, and monthly mine production planning and execution.
- Ensure efficient coal extraction and overburden removal as per approved mining plans.
- Monitor excavation, drilling, blasting, loading, hauling, and transportation activities.
- Ensure optimum utilization and availability of HEMM equipment.
- Coordinate with maintenance and engineering teams to minimize machine downtime.
- Ensure uninterrupted mining operations through effective operational planning.
- Monitor coal quality standards and ensure timely dispatch operations.
- Oversee contractor performance, productivity, and compliance with operational standards.
- Implement cost optimization initiatives across mining operations.
- Ensure adherence to mining regulations, environmental norms, and statutory compliances.
- Drive safety initiatives and maintain a zero-harm work culture at site.
- Conduct operational reviews, safety audits, toolbox talks, and risk assessments.
- Manage manpower deployment, shift scheduling, and workforce productivity.
- Liaise with government authorities, regulatory bodies, and internal stakeholders.
- Prepare operational MIS reports and production performance reviews for management.
- Identify opportunities for process improvements and operational excellence.

Preferred Candidate Profile:
- 15- 20 years of experience in mining operations.
- Proven experience in large-scale opencast coal mining projects.
- Strong exposure to production management, excavation, and HEMM utilization.
- Experience handling large mining teams and contractor workforce.
