Head - Operation - Auto Recycling

Role Overview:

This role is critical to strengthening the supply chain for end-of-life vehicles and automotive scrap, enabling efficient recycling operations while advancing sustainability goals. The incumbent will drive strategic sourcing, vendor partnerships, and logistics optimization to maximize recovery of recyclable materials and minimize waste.

Key Responsibilities:

- Develop and execute sourcing strategies for end-of-life vehicles, automotive scrap, and recyclable materials, ensuring cost efficiency and sustainability.

- Identify, onboard, and manage suppliers, aggregators, dealers, dismantlers, and logistics partners to ensure a consistent inflow of vehicles and scrap.

- Negotiate commercial terms, contracts, and pricing with vendors to secure long-term, mutually beneficial partnerships.

- Monitor market trends, regulatory changes, and scrap price movements to forecast sourcing requirements and adjust procurement strategies proactively.

- Oversee inventory planning and logistics coordination to ensure timely and uninterrupted supply to recycling and processing facilities.

- Collaborate with operations, production, and quality teams to align sourcing volumes with plant capacity, yield optimization, and quality standards.

- Ensure full compliance with automotive recycling regulations, environmental norms, and statutory requirements related to ELV sourcing and transportation.

- Track and report key supply chain KPIs, including sourcing volumes, cost savings, turnaround time, and supplier performance, and implement continuous improvement initiatives.

Preferred Background (Optional Section):

- Experience in automotive recycling, vehicle scrapping, metal recycling, or auto OEM / Tier-1 supply chains

- Strong understanding of ELV regulations, sustainability practices, and circular economy models

- Proven negotiation and vendor management skills
