Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced NPD Head - Power to lead the development of power electronics products. This role involves driving end-to-end product development, focusing on innovation, efficiency, reliability, and cost optimization of power solutions across various applications.

Key Responsibilities:

- Lead end-to-end New Product Development (NPD) for power electronics products.

- Define and execute product strategy and roadmap for power solutions.

- Manage cross-functional collaboration with R&D, Design, Production, Quality, Procurement, and Sales teams.

- Drive development of products such as power supplies, SMPS, inverters, chargers, battery management systems (BMS), and converters.

- Oversee circuit design, prototyping, testing, validation, and certification.

- Ensure compliance with industry standards (IEC, BIS, CE, UL, etc.) and safety regulations.

- Optimize BOM, product cost, and manufacturing processes.

- Develop and manage vendor ecosystem for key components (transformers, semiconductors, capacitors, etc.).

- Monitor project timelines, budgets, and product performance.

- Identify emerging trends in power electronics, energy efficiency, and renewable technologies.

- Lead and mentor the NPD team for innovation and high performance.

- Collaborate with customers/stakeholders for customized product development.

Key Skills & Competencies:

- Strong expertise in power electronics design and development.

- Knowledge of AC/DC, DC/DC converters, SMPS, inverters, and battery systems.

- Experience with thermal management, EMI/EMC compliance, and safety standards.

- Familiarity with simulation tools (MATLAB, SPICE, etc.).

- Strong understanding of product lifecycle management (PLM).

- Project management and leadership skills.

- Vendor management and cost optimization expertise.

- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

- Effective communication and stakeholder management.

Qualifications:

- Bachelor's/Master's degree in Electrical / Electronics Engineering / Power Electronics or related field.

- MBA (preferred for leadership roles

Experience:

- 10+ years of experience in power electronics / NPD within electronic manufacturing.

- Proven track record in leading product development and successful product launches.

Preferred Experience:

- Experience in industrial power systems, consumer electronics, EV charging, UPS systems, or renewable energy solutions.

- Exposure to OEM/ODM manufacturing environments.
