Job Summary

- The Head of Manufacturing Engineering will lead and drive all manufacturing engineering activities related to screen printing and coating processes, ensuring operational excellence, high process reliability, and continuous improvement.


- This role is responsible for process design, technology selection, capacity planning, equipment optimization, and cost efficiency, while working closely with production, maintenance, quality, R&D, and supply chain teams. The position plays a critical role in supporting green field projects, expansion initiatives, and advanced manufacturing technologies.

Key Responsibilities

Manufacturing Engineering Leadership

- Lead, mentor, and develop the manufacturing engineering team to achieve operational and business objectives.

- Define engineering strategies aligned with organizational goals, productivity targets, and quality standards.

- Establish best practices, standard operating procedures, and engineering governance across manufacturing operations.

- Process Design & Optimization

- Design, develop, and optimize screen printing and coating processes to improve yield, throughput, and product quality.

- Drive continuous improvement initiatives using Lean, Six Sigma, and other operational excellence methodologies.

- Identify process bottlenecks and implement corrective and preventive actions to enhance efficiency and reduce downtime.

Equipment & Technology Management

- Lead equipment selection, specification, installation, and commissioning for screen printing and coating lines.

- Oversee advanced coating technologies such as PVD and CVD systems, ensuring optimal performance and reliability.

- Evaluate and introduce new technologies, automation solutions, and digital manufacturing tools to enhance productivity.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

- Collaborate closely with production, maintenance, quality, R&D, and supply chain teams to ensure smooth manufacturing operations.

- Support new product introduction (NPI) by defining robust manufacturing processes and qualification plans.

- Work with quality teams to ensure compliance with internal standards, customer requirements, and regulatory norms.

Cost, Quality & Performance Management

- Drive cost reduction initiatives through process optimization, waste elimination, and improved equipment utilization.

- Ensure manufacturing processes meet quality, safety, and environmental standards.

Establish KPIs and performance metrics to monitor process stability, efficiency, and engineering effectiveness.

Project Management

- Lead engineering activities for green field project execution, plant expansions, and capacity enhancement programs.

- Manage project timelines, budgets, and resources to ensure successful delivery.

Coordinate with vendors, suppliers, and contractors during project execution and equipment installation.

Qualifications & Experience

- Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Mechanical, Printing, Chemical, or Coating Engineering.

- Minimum 20+ years of experience in manufacturing engineering, with strong expertise in screen printing or coating processes.

- In-depth knowledge of screen-printing equipment, coating systems (PVD, CVD), materials, and process controls.

- Proven experience in leading large engineering teams and managing complex manufacturing projects.
