Head - Legal - Real Estate

Role Overview:

We are seeking a seasoned legal professional to lead our legal function based in Navi Mumbai. In this strategic role, you will serve as the primary advisor to the leadership team, overseeing the entire spectrum of corporate legal affairs, regulatory compliance, and risk mitigation. You will work closely with the Board of Directors, executive management, and external counsel to navigate complex legal landscapes, ensuring that all business operations align with statutory requirements. Your impact will be foundational, as you will be responsible for safeguarding the organization's interests, facilitating seamless commercial transactions, and fostering a culture of integrity that supports our long-term growth objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

- Direct the end-to-end legal strategy for the organization to ensure all business initiatives are executed within a robust framework of legal compliance and risk management.

- Negotiate and draft high-value commercial contracts and strategic agreements to protect the company's intellectual property and financial interests during complex business dealings.

- Manage corporate governance and secretarial functions to ensure the organization meets all regulatory filings and transparency standards expected by stakeholders and governing bodies.

- Lead litigation management by coordinating with external law firms and counsel to resolve disputes efficiently and minimize potential financial or reputational exposure.

- Advise the executive leadership team on emerging legal trends and regulatory shifts to proactively identify opportunities and threats in the evolving market environment.

Required Skillset:

- Demonstrated expertise in corporate law, commercial litigation, and regulatory compliance, with a proven ability to translate complex legal statutes into actionable business strategies.

- Exceptional interpersonal and negotiation skills, with the ability to influence senior stakeholders and build consensus across diverse cross-functional teams.

- Strong leadership capabilities, evidenced by a history of mentoring legal teams and fostering a high-performance, ethical work culture.

- A degree in Law (LL.B. or LL.M.) from a premier institution, complemented by a sharp analytical mindset and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, on-site environment in Navi Mumbai.

- Proven ability to manage high-stakes legal crises with composure, maintaining clear communication with internal and external partners under pressure.
