
The Head - Legal will lead the legal function for a pharmaceutical company with operations across multiple international markets, particularly the United States and Europe.
The role is responsible for managing global commercial contracts, licensing agreements, regulatory legal matters, and ensuring compliance with international legal frameworks governing the pharmaceutical industry.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Contract Management: Lead drafting, negotiation, and management of complex commercial contracts.
2. Licensing & Strategic Deals: Structure and negotiate licensing agreements, product acquisition deals, and commercialization partnerships.
3. Manage legal aspects of in-licensing and out-licensing of pharmaceutical products.
4. Ensure compliance with legal and regulatory requirements across the US, Europe, and other international markets.
5. Provide legal guidance to senior management on business decisions, commercial risks, and regulatory exposure.
6. Manage disputes, claims, and potential litigation in coordination with external counsel.
7. Maintain oversight of corporate documentation, legal policies, and compliance protocols.
Experience:
1. 15 -20 years of legal experience, preferably within the pharmaceutical sector, managing international contracts and licensing agreements.
3. Exposure to the US and European commercial and regulatory environments is essential.
Education:LL.B. / LL.M.

Deep expertise in contract law and commercial agreements, pharmaceutical licensing and collaboration deals, negotiation and stakeholder management capabilities, understanding of international regulatory environments in pharma.
