Head - Legal for a Large EPC Company

About the Role:

We are looking for a seasoned legal professional to lead the legal function, supporting both domestic and international operations. This role offers an opportunity to work on complex disputes, cross-border matters, and high-value infrastructure projects, while partnering closely with business teams.

What You'll Be Doing:

- Litigation & Dispute Management: Handle domestic and international litigation (with exposure to GCC markets), manage external counsel, and drive case strategy end-to-end.

- Arbitration & Dispute Resolution: Lead arbitration proceedings across jurisdictions, including execution and defense of awards, and managing appeals where required.

- Contracts & Commercial Advisory: Review and negotiate contracts, support tenders/bids, and provide practical legal inputs to safeguard business interests.

- Transaction & Financing Support: Work on domestic and cross-border financing transactions, including reviewing security documents and standardizing legal templates.

- Business Advisory: Act as a trusted advisor to internal stakeholders on contracts, compliance, tax, labour laws, and other legal matters.

- Dispute Prevention: Participate in commercial discussions to proactively mitigate risks and suggest legally sound alternatives.

- Corporate Documentation: Draft and review agreements such as SPAs, SHAs, and other key commercial documents.

- Knowledge Sharing: Conduct workshops and enable teams with practical legal knowledge and best practices.

What We're Looking For:

- Strong experience in litigation and arbitration (India + international exposure preferred)

- Background in infrastructure, construction, or EPC environments is highly relevant

- Ability to balance legal rigor with business practicality

- Strong stakeholder management and communication skills

- Experience handling cross-border transactions and multi-jurisdictional matters
