Role: Head - Learning & Development Location: Mumbai Reporting to: CHRO Overview: We're looking for a dynamic L&D leader to shape and drive the learning agenda across a well-known mid-sized Housing Finance Company. The role focuses on designing and delivering impactful technical and behavioural training programs for our front-end sales teams and supporting functions, ensuring they are equipped to succeed in a fast-growing and competitive market. Key Responsibilities: - Develop and execute the L&D strategy aligned to business goals, with special focus on technical and sales capability building for front-line employees. - Design and implement a structured 60-day onboarding and induction plan, including learning interventions tailored for new hires. - Create engaging, relevant content and training material (classroom, digital, and blended). - Coordinate, schedule, and manage training delivery across regions and branches, ensuring consistency and high participation. - Measure training effectiveness through assessments, feedback, and business KPIs, and refine programs accordingly. - Partner closely with sales leaders and HRBPs to identify skill gaps and evolving learning needs. - Lead a small L&D team and manage external training partners as required. - Be willing to travel occasionally for training rollout, audits, and trainer calibration. Preferred Candidate Profile: - 9-15 years of L&D experience, ideally from microfinance, housing finance companies, small finance banks, NBFCs, or other frontline sales-driven financial services. - Proven expertise in technical/functional training, sales capability building, and content creation. - Strong facilitation, communication, and stakeholder management skills. - Ability to design structured learning journeys and monitor impact. - Agile, hands-on professional who enjoys building processes from scratch and can adapt to the needs of a growing organization.
