Description:


The Head of HR Shared Services is responsible for leading and optimizing global HR operations, including HRIS management, global payroll, employee data administration, and service delivery excellence. This role ensures standardized, compliant, and scalable HR processes across geographies while delivering a high-quality employee experience.


Key Responsibilities:


HR Shared Services Leadership:


- Lead the global HR Shared Services function, delivering end-to-end HR operational support across regions.


- Design and implement standardized HR processes, policies, and SLAs across all locations.


- Drive continuous improvement, automation, and operational excellence in HR service delivery.


- Build, mentor, and manage a high-performing HR Shared Services team.


HRIS Management:


- Own and govern the organizations HRIS platform(s) (e.g., Workday, SAP SuccessFactors, Oracle HCM, ADP).


- Lead HRIS configuration, upgrades, integrations, and data governance.


- Ensure data accuracy, security, and compliance with global data privacy regulations (GDPR, local laws).


- Partner with IT and vendors to deliver system enhancements and analytics.


- Enable self-service capabilities and reporting dashboards for HR and business leaders.


Global Payroll & Benefits Administration:


- Oversee end-to-end global payroll operations across multiple countries and vendors.


- Ensure timely, accurate, and compliant payroll processing aligned with local labor laws and tax regulations.


- Manage vendor relationships, contracts, and performance for payroll and benefits providers.


- Lead payroll audits, reconciliations, and statutory reporting.


- Coordinate with Finance on payroll accounting, accruals, and compliance.


HR Operations & Employee Lifecycle:


- Manage HR operations across the employee lifecycle: onboarding, transfers, promotions, data changes, and exits.


- Ensure seamless execution of employee documentation, records management, and statutory filings.


- Support global mobility, expatriate payroll, and cross-border employment processes as applicable.


- Act as the escalation point for complex HR operational issues.


Compliance, Risk & Governance:


- Ensure compliance with global and local labor laws, statutory requirements, and internal controls.


- Implement robust audit processes and risk mitigation frameworks for HR operations and payroll.


- Maintain SOPs, process documentation, and internal controls.


Stakeholder Management & Service Excellence:


- Partner with HR Business Partners, COEs, Finance, Legal, and IT to support business needs.


- Drive service excellence through defined SLAs, KPIs, and employee satisfaction metrics.


- Manage change initiatives related to system implementations, M&A, or geographic expansion.


Key Performance Indicators (KPIs):


- Payroll accuracy and timeliness


- HRIS data integrity and system uptime


- SLA adherence and service delivery metrics


- Compliance and audit outcomes


- Cost optimization and process efficiency


Experience:


- 12-18+ years of progressive HR experience, with significant exposure to HR Shared Services, HRIS, and Global Payroll


- Proven experience managing multi-country payroll and HR operations


- Strong experience in HR technology implementations and transformations


- Prior experience leading large or distributed teams preferred


Skills & Competencies:


- Deep knowledge of HRIS platforms and payroll systems


- Strong understanding of global labor laws and compliance requirements
