Job Title: Head - Human Resources (HR Head)

Role Overview :

The Head - Human Resources will be a strategic business partner to the leadership team, responsible for building a future-ready HR function that supports rapid growth, operational excellence, and a strong performance-driven culture. The role will lead all aspects of HR including talent strategy, organization design, employee experience, leadership development, and compliance across corporate and field operations.

Key Responsibilities :

Strategic HR Leadership

1. Partner with the CEO and leadership team to drive people strategy aligned with business goals.

2. Design and implement HR frameworks to support scale, transformation, and high performance.

3. Act as a change agent during phases of growth, restructuring, or expansion.

Talent Acquisition & Workforce Planning

1. Lead end-to-end talent acquisition for corporate, technology, and field roles.

2. Develop workforce planning and succession strategies for critical roles.

3. Strengthen employer branding and talent pipelines, especially in niche agritech roles.

Performance Management & Rewards

1. Drive a robust performance management system aligned with business outcomes.

2. Design competitive compensation, incentives, and benefits structures within budget.

3. Oversee annual appraisal, promotion, and rewards cycles.

Learning, Leadership & Culture

1. Build leadership development and capability-building programs.

2. Foster a strong organizational culture rooted in ownership, accountability, and innovation.

3. Drive employee engagement, retention, and experience initiatives.

HR Operations & Compliance

1. Oversee HR operations, policies, payroll, and employee lifecycle management.

2. Ensure statutory compliance with labor laws across multiple states.

3. Manage industrial relations (if applicable) and employee grievance redressal.

HR Systems & Analytics

1. Drive digitization of HR processes using HRMS and people analytics.

2. Use data-driven insights to support decision-making and workforce effectiveness.

Key Stakeholders

1. CEO & Executive Leadership Team

2. Business Heads & Functional Leaders

3. External Consultants, Recruitment Partners, and Statutory Authorities

Ideal Candidate Profile

1. Education: MBA / PGDM in Human Resources or equivalent.

2. Experience: 12-15 years of progressive HR experience, with at least 5+ years in a senior leadership role.

3. Experience in Agritech, Agri-inputs, FMCG, Manufacturing, Supply Chain, or high-growth startups preferred.

4. Proven track record of building and scaling HR functions in growing organizations.

Key Skills & Competencies -

1. Strong business acumen and strategic mindset.

2. Expertise across core HR domains (TA, PMS, L&D, C&B, ER).

3. Excellent stakeholder management and influencing skills.

4. Ability to manage diverse, geographically distributed workforce.

5. High ownership, integrity, and execution orientation.
