About the Role
We are looking for a Head of HR who brings calm maturity, sound judgment, and strong people leadership to a fast-growing consumer brand. This role is suited for someone who can work closely with founders and senior leadership, earn their trust, and guide teams with steady, thoughtful decision-making.
The ideal candidate understands that culture is shaped through everyday conversations. They listen deeply, coach with empathy, and bring clarity during moments of conflict. This is a hands-on leadership role where you will build the HR function from the ground up and shape the people and culture strategy for the organisations next phase of growth.
Key Responsibilities
- Build and scale the HR function from the ground up, establishing strong systems, processes, and operating rhythms
- Strengthen, protect, and embed organisational values and culture across all people practices and decisions
- Partner closely with founders and senior leadership on organisation design, leadership hiring, talent planning, and sensitive people matters
- Lead end-to-end hiring across the organisation with a sharp focus on attitude, capability, and long-term potential
- Design and implement simple, effective frameworks for performance management, feedback, learning & development, and career progression
- Manage a hybrid and partially remote workforce with clear communication, alignment, and accountability
- Ensure HR operations, compliance, policies, and documentation run smoothly and predictably
- Act as a trusted anchor for conflict resolution, difficult conversations, and emotionally sensitive situations
- Build high levels of trust across teams through fairness, confidentiality, and transparent communication
- Strengthen team capabilities through tailored leadership development, mentoring, and succession initiatives
- Partner with finance on manpower planning, workforce budgeting, and organisational scaling
Desired Candidate Profile
- MBA in HR from a reputed B-School
- 10+ years of overall HR experience, including 34 years in a senior HR leadership role
- Proven experience building HR functions and working with hybrid or distributed teams
- Mature, balanced professional presence with the ability to engage senior leaders with confidence and respect
- Strong judgment and the ability to de-escalate situations while driving practical, people-centric solutions
- Deep understanding of organisational culture, team dynamics, and performance management
- Excellent communication and coaching skills with the ability to develop managers
- High integrity, discretion, and a genuine care for people
- Must-have: experience designing and delivering tailored initiatives to strengthen team capabilities and groom future leaders
