Role: HR Business Partnering Lead - Consumer Banking

Location: Mumbai

Work Model: 5 days a week

We are looking to connect with seasoned HR leaders (12+ years of experience) for a strategic HR Business Partnering role within the Consumer Banking business.

Role Overview

This role will partner closely with business leaders across Consumer Banking (Liabilities, Assets, and Central Functions) to drive people strategy aligned with business growth and transformation priorities. The incumbent will operate as a trusted advisor to leadership while enabling organization effectiveness, talent outcomes, and culture at scale.

Key Responsibilities

- Partner with senior business leaders to shape and drive the people agenda for a large consumer banking workforce

- Lead organization design and development initiatives including structure redesign, workforce planning, and succession pipelines

- Drive talent management frameworks including succession planning, HiPo identification, and internal mobility for critical roles

- Anchor performance management and rewards processes, aligning business outcomes with development and compensation frameworks

- Contribute to governance forums such as disciplinary committees and incentive design councils

- Drive large-scale culture and engagement initiatives, strengthening employee experience and leadership connect

- Lead and participate in enterprise transformation programs, embedding agile ways of working and building leadership capability

- Enable HR innovation through adoption of HR tech, data analytics, and AI-led interventions

- Build data-driven HR practices through strong MIS, reporting, and insights to support business decision-making

Key Outcomes Expected:

- Improved business productivity and turnaround through HR interventions

- Stronger succession pipelines and increased internal mobility for critical roles

- Higher adoption and effectiveness of performance and incentive frameworks

- Enhanced employee engagement and culture alignment at scale

- Increased efficiency through automation, HR tech, and data-led decision making

Ideal Candidate Profile:

- 12+ years of HR experience, with strong exposure to HR Business Partnering in banking or BFSI

- Proven experience working with large, complex organizations and senior stakeholders

- Strong grounding in organization design, talent management, and performance frameworks

- Experience driving transformation, culture initiatives, and leadership development

- Exposure to agile HR practices, HR tech, or AI-driven HR solutions is a plus

- Strong business acumen, stakeholder management, and execution capability
