Our client is a leading medical devices company headquartered in Mumbai, and a subsidiary of a reputed 80,000 Crore Indian conglomerate. The company is committed to manufacturing world-class, high-quality, and safe medical devices that are accessible and affordable, while adhering to the highest standards of quality and compliance.


Role Summary:


The Head Human Resources will be responsible for leading and driving the overall HR strategy across Corporate HR, Sales HR, and Plant HR. The role will partner closely with the CEO and leadership team to align HR initiatives with business objectives, enable organizational growth, and build a high-performance culture.


Key Responsibilities:


1. Workforce Planning & Hiring:


- Ensure manpower availability as per approved budgets across corporate, sales, and manufacturing units.


- Lead end-to-end hiring and onboarding strategies for leadership, sales, and plant roles.


- Drive structured workforce planning aligned with business expansion plans.

2. HR Operations, Policy & Compliance:


- Oversee HR policies, statutory compliance, payroll, and administration.

- Manage HRIS systems, payroll processing, audits, and regulatory compliance.

- Ensure adherence to labor laws and internal governance standards.

3. Employee Engagement & Retention:


- Design and implement employee engagement and retention initiatives.

- Drive incentive schemes and performance-linked reward programs across functions.

- Monitor attrition trends and implement corrective measures.

4. Talent Development & Capability Building:


- Lead talent development initiatives, learning frameworks, and leadership development programs.

- Implement training and capability-building programs for corporate, sales, and plant employees.

- Build succession planning and high-potential talent pipelines.

5. Strategic HR & Leadership:


- Act as a strategic HR partner to the CEO and leadership team.

- Drive HR analytics, compensation benchmarking, and organizational design.

- Support M&A activities, including due diligence, integration, and cultural alignment.

- Enable a strong performance management and leadership culture.

6. Employee Relations & Performance Support:


- Manage employee relations, grievance handling, and disciplinary processes.

- Provide performance support and advisory to managers and leaders.

- Maintain a positive, compliant, and productive workplace environment.


Educational Qualification:

Graduate with MBA in Human Resources from a premium institute.

Experience:

- Minimum 15 years of overall HR experience.

- At least 5 years of experience in medical devices or pharmaceutical companies.

- Proven experience in handling multi-location HR operations, manufacturing setups, and sales organizations.

- Prior exposure to leadership-level HR roles is preferred.
