
Strategy, Setup & Governance
- Lead the complete setup of a Financial Shared Services Center from scratch, including operating model, governance, SLAs, KPIs, and compliance framework.
- Drive end-to-end transition from current outsourced teams into the new FSS.
- Establish scalable, tech-enabled processes capable of supporting high-volume finance operations.
Finance Operations (Core Focus)
Oversee core finance processes:
- Accounts Receivable (AR) - high complexity, involving rotating and frequently changing discount schemes typical in FMCG.
- Accounts Payable (AP)
- FICO
- Costing
- Ensure operational excellence in payment timelines, reconciliations, controls, and accuracy.
- Experience handling large-scale invoice volumes (minimum 70,000-80,000 invoices per month).
- Lead AR & AP operations for Indian FMCG / multi-product businesses across B2B and B2C channels.
Process Re-engineering & Transformation
- Re-engineer end-to-end finance processes: payments, settlements, checks & controls and workflow efficiencies.
- Identify and eliminate process bottlenecks, including delays, approval issues, and communication gaps.
- Introduce best practices in shared services, automation, and process governance.
D. Technology, Automation & AI-led Productivity
- Work with IT to deploy AI/ML, advanced automation tools, OCR, workflow engines, and predictive analytics.
- Drive digital transformation to achieve 300-400 invoices processed per person per day, using AI and advanced technologies.
- Implement dashboards, workflow tools, and systems to support a 247 shared services environment.
- Stay updated with the latest in ERP (SAP/Oracle), RPA, analytics, and finance-tech solutions.
Stakeholder Management
- Engage senior stakeholders across group companies and business teams.
- Act as the primary SPOC for FSS performance, escalations, and continuous improvement.
- Manage cross-functional relationships with HR, IT, operations, and external partners.
People Leadership
- Lead and scale a large workforce (currently 250-300 outsourced employees).
- Build high-performing teams through capability development, hiring, and role clarity.
- Manage multi-shift, 247 operations with a strong performance culture.
Expansion & Revenue Enablement
- Support the roadmap to offer shared services externally as a revenue-generating line of business.
- Drive cost efficiency, productivity improvement, and scalable service offerings.
