Role - Head - Finance Operations
Client - PE-backed MedTech Distribution Platform
Location - Navi Mumbai
Reporting To - Chief Financial Officer
Team Size - 8 to 10 (finance operations and accounting professionals)
About the Client
Our client is a PE-backed MedTech distribution platform, backed by a marquee global healthcare-focused investor, building a pan-India healthcare distribution business through the acquisition and integration of promoter-led companies under a common holding structure. The platform has scaled from ~- 3 Cr to ~- 150 Cr, is expected to cross - 200 Cr in the coming quarter, and has a medium-term vision of - 600-700 Cr+ through continued acquisitions.
The Role
The Head of Finance Operations will report directly to the CFO with a mandate to drive post-acquisition integration, standardize finance and operating processes across acquired entities, reduce promoter dependency, and build scalable operating infrastructure that connects finance, operations, banking, and business teams seamlessly.
Key Responsibilities:
- Finance Operations Leadership: End-to-end ownership of finance operations, including banking centralization, vendor and principal payments, credit release coordination, working capital oversight, and business continuity management.
- Integration & Transformation: Lead the integration of newly acquired entities - harmonizing SOPs and controls, establishing common reporting frameworks, and standardizing operational and finance processes across locations.
- Multi-Entity Governance: Provide oversight across multiple legal entities, coordinating with local accounting teams to ensure consistency in reporting and compliance, and driving consolidation of finance operations at the platform level.
- Business Partnership: Work closely with supply chain and commercial teams as the bridge between finance and operations, driving decision-making through operational insight rather than pure reporting.
Ideal Candidate Profile:
- 10-15 years of experience with a strong finance operations orientation (rather than pure accounting/controllership).
- Industry exposure to healthcare distribution, MedTech, retail pharmacy, hospitals, or scaled consumer/multi-location distribution businesses.
- Demonstrated strength in banking management, working capital, vendor management, process integration, and post-merger integration.
- Strong ERP exposure; SAP preferred, with the ability to work across legacy systems (several acquired entities remain on legacy platforms).
- Comfortable with ambiguity and transformation; operationally hands-on with strong stakeholder management and influencing skills.
